Building Solutions for Medical Clinics

Remedly was founded in 2014 with a mission to make the lives of healthcare professionals and patients easier through automated workflows and leveraging advances in data science. Based in San Francisco, Remedly offers specialty-focused, cloud-based electronic health record (EHR), practice management (PMS), and revenue cycle management (RCM) software to medical clinics of all sizes. Its HIPAA-compliant solution provides clinics with lead management and advanced analytics tools as well as a rich patient-facing software experience.

Elevating the Patient Experience

When patients schedule elective procedures, insurance covers a limited number of treatments. Patients often have to pay out of pocket for high-ticket-size transactions, which need to be processed quickly and securely. Before adopting Remedly’s integrated software, many clinics were using legacy terminal devices and manually entering the data into legacy PMS. With Square’s seamless integration into Remedly’s software, medical clinics can automatically sync payments with their PMS, improving the accuracy and efficiency of managing transactions and offering a streamlined experience for patients.

Integrating with the Square Terminal API

Remedly’s engineering team worked collaboratively with Square’s developer support team to complete the integration and to onboard its first clinic, Zvia Weight Loss and MedSpa. In addition to the Terminal API, Remedly built with the Square eCommerce API to enable online payments via the patient portal. This omnichannel integration enabled medical clinics to accept both in-person and online payments with Square, without worrying about manual bookkeeping.

Onboarding Clinics to Remedly and Square

Since January 2020, Remedly has onboarded eight medical clinics in the U.S. to use the Square Terminal integration. The company continues to actively promote Terminal to new customers.
