Sandbox Dashboard Modifier Creation Page Not Loading

Hi Square Team,

I am experiencing an issue with the Square Sandbox Dashboard when trying to create a Modifier.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Log in to my Square Sandbox account.
  2. Navigate to the Modifiers section.
  3. Click “Create Modifier”.
  4. The page redirects to the following URL:
    https://app.squareupsandbox.com/dashboard/items/modifiers/react/new

However, after the redirect, the page does not load correctly. All page elements remain blank/unavailable, and I am unable to create a Modifier.

Environment details:

I have tried refreshing the page and accessing it again, but the issue persists.

Could you please help check whether there is any issue with the Sandbox Dashboard or this page? Please let me know if you need any additional information, such as account details, browser logs, or screenshots.

This is a current limitation of the sandbox UI. As a workaround, you can create Modifiers programmatically using the Catalog API with MODIFIER and MODIFIER_LIST catalog object types. This is fully supported in the Sandbox environment.

Following up on this issue — has the Sandbox UI limitation for creating Modifiers been fixed? Or do we still need to use the Catalog API as the workaround?
