I’m trying to understand what is going on with my square account and I havent gotten a resolution after speaking to over 10 agents in different departments.
It all started with an email I received at 9am asking me to reverify myself. It states what ID is accepted and that I need to click the links which led me to the veriff app thats needed to complete the verification process.
Based upon my lengthy phone calls and chats, this is what I observed:
One employee in your banking department and a male employee on the phone claimed the email was a phishing attempt.
Two other employess recommend I send the email to your email address to report phishing (that started with spoof)
And one employee in the banking department I talked to on the phone stated she had tech difficulties with her computer so we agreed she call me back. … then when she did, she couldn’t access my account at her end despite me giving all agents my correct full name and email.
But what I don’t get is this. The first time I received this email (about a month ago), I complained to a few agents then the matter got resolved. Not this time.
Now the best they can do is make me wait a day or 2 which is currently frustrating for my business.
Since I had 3 ID verification requests in the last 2 months, and none before in the whole year that I had my account, I am suspecting there is a fault with a computer at squares end that is holding my data. Maybe a virus has deleted pieces of my data could be causing this.
But I’d really like a solution ASAP and I contacted all other avenues for help already.
