Google Pay throws a `Method unsupported ` error for some Mobile Safari users?

We are using the Web Payments SDK and some Mobile Safari (iOS ranges from 13.7 to 14.7) users get the following message:

(PaymentMethodUnsupportedError) Method unsupported: Browser does not support Google Pay. See: Web Payments SDK Overview

This is only happening to users on Mobile Safari and so far our dev team has been unable to reproduce the issue on physical devices or simulators. Is there some reason/caveat why some users might get this error and others would not?

We have some theories as to where this is happening but don’t know why. The team is adding some additional logging and once we have more data we will be able to follow up. :slightly_smiling_face:
