Hello Square Developer team,
We operate Captain Kitchen Kebab & Fish, a single-location restaurant in Melbourne, Australia, and are building our own iOS and Android ordering application integrated with our Square account.
Our Square Catalog, Payments and Pickup order integration has been implemented and tested in Sandbox. We now need to confirm the supported production path for delivery orders.
Our existing Square Online delivery service uses Square On-Demand Delivery through Nash. Nash support has directed us to Square because the delivery integration is controlled by Square.
We understand from existing forum responses that Orders API-created DELIVERY orders require restricted partner access to appear in Order Manager, POS and KDS, and that creating a DELIVERY order through the Orders API does not automatically dispatch a Square On-Demand Delivery courier.
Could Square please confirm:
- What is the current application or certification process for an Australian restaurant app to obtain access to DELIVERY fulfilments?
- Would that access allow paid delivery orders created by our app to appear in Order Manager, POS and KDS?
- Is there any supported Square API or webhook that exposes the Nash courier assignment, delivery status, ETA, tracking URL or location, pickup and delivery timestamps, and proof-of-delivery information?
- If those courier features are available only through Square Online, is there any approved partner integration path that would allow them to be displayed inside our customer application?
We can provide our Merchant ID, Location ID and Application ID privately by direct message.
Thank you,
Benyamin Gonbadi
