Currently, Square does not provide an API for the Bill Pay feature available in the Dashboard. This means that there’s no way to automate ACH payments to vendors through the Square APIs. The existing APIs allow you to accept payments rather than send them out. As of now, there’s no public information about plans to include this feature in the Square APIs.

While not the answer I had hoped for, I appreciate the response.
Outbound payments would be useful to many merchants, I believe, so hopefully this will make it into a future release.
Unfortunately, we don’t have public roadmaps for features like this. We’re constantly working to improve our features based on feedback like this, so I’ll be sure to share your request to the API product team.
