When using the Square online system, we utilize events for our site items. We create hundreds of events per year. Currently, in the top level view (library/list view) of items, you can not add additional fields (such as start date). This makes it impossible to maintain events as items, we now have to add redundant information to every event title (event 1 - 01/03/2023).
