Active subscriptions did not create invoices

Between 3/16 and 3/28, we had 68 subscriptions fail to generate invoices. In the dashboard, they all still say they are active and that the next billing is the March date. Here’s the ids:

The Square status page says the issue is resolved, but none of my customers have been invoiced and all still show next billing dates in March.

I am running into a similar issue using the sandbox api. Invoices are taking > 20 minutes to be attached to subscriptions.

I haven’t been able to replicate this. Are saying that when the subscription is created the invoice isn’t created for it and you don’t see it when you call RetrieveSubscription? Or are you referring to the email delivery of the invoice? :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi Bryan. I am having this issue as well. We used to Create Subscription, Send invoice by email. And Square would automatically create an invoice sent via email to the customer, and they could pay from their email. Overnight (starting 10/18/24), any newly created Subscriptions are not creating Invoices. They are just informing the customer that a Subscription has been created. They can add payment methods there via the email but there is no actual invoice thus no actual payment. We see them listed on our Subscriptions page but no invoices are being created. Please assist. We have been using Square since 8/2024 and this just started yesterday.

I am having the same issue as well. All our subscriptions has not been billing our clients since October 18th, we have been using square for over 2 years and this has never happened before. Please assist us. I think this is a new problem.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. The team did confirm that there was a delay in the subscription invoices being created. Have you checked to see if the invoice has now been sent to the customer? The team is working on a longer term fix for this issue. :slightly_smiling_face:

I believe I am experiencing the same issue. During testing in the production environment over a week ago, payments were processed without any problems. However, with the product scheduled for release today, we conducted a final check and encountered an issue. Although the subscription payment link page appeared, entering credit card details and pressing the payment button resulted in an error, as shown in the attached image.

We are in a difficult situation as we cannot proceed with the release until this issue is resolved. I believe the Square team is working hard to fix this, but we kindly request a swift resolution.
