No, the Square Reader SDK does not support retrieving the gift card number by swiping through the Reader. The Reader SDK is designed to securely handle payment information and does not provide direct access to raw card data, including gift card numbers, to ensure compliance with payment card industry standards.

At this time the ability to get the gift card number from a reader with any of our mobile SDKs isn’t currently available.
