MFi Approval Request

Hi Square Team,

We submitted the **Square Mobile Payments SDK - Stand MFi Approval Form** on **7 May 2026** for Dry Clean Only / `Tolemans.DryCleanPOS`, The form only showed **“Your response has been recorded”** — I don’t believe we received a reference number or ticket ID.

Could someone please confirm:

1. Whether our Stand MFi approval request is in the queue.

2. Whether Square provides an MFi PPID or protocol confirmation for Apple review.

3. Whether the Square Mobile Payments SDK covers this automatically, or if separate Square approval/documentation is required.

4. If we should follow up through a different support path, what is the correct route?

We’ve already received MFi/PPID details from printer manufacturers, but we’re still waiting on clarity for Square hardware. Also we sent a support request case #118277575 on the 27th May with no reply?

Ah I see your request! Apologies for the delay and thank you for the nudge here. I will submit this to Apple now and follow back up with you shortly.

Thanks for the update. It would be helpful if Square could provide a clearer estimate for MFi approval timelines, since App Store submissions can be blocked while waiting. Even a status update in the support case would help developers plan releases more effectively.

I’ve gone ahead and submitted your application to Apple.

I’ll let you know as soon as I’ve confirmed Apple has approved your application — at which point you can submit your app to the App Store.

If you are not distributing your application via the App Store, this process is not required. If you would like to remove Stand support, please delete the Square values from the UISupportedExternalAccessoryProtocols array in your application’s Info.plist file.
