Custom Customer Fields - require filling out field on checkout

I use a standard square credit card machine to process payments. I don’t have any integrations with my other POS system at this moment. When a customer needs to check out I will manually type in the transaction amount, and then they will insert their card to pay. I have set up custom customer fields in the dashboard. I’m looking at how I can require the customer to fill out the missing fields after they pay on the terminal. I don’t manually add customers in, send invoices, or use catalog items. If I need to make a change to how I process payments I’m open to that. How can I make it so that a customer inputs their card, they sign on the line, and then it asks them to fill out the fields needed for their customer profile?

Currently there isn’t the ability to have a customer fill out a custom form after a payment without tapping Add customer to fill out a customer profile. :slightly_smiling_face:

Are there any workarounds or alternatives? I just need a way to have customers fill out that field or form after paying even if it doesn’t tie directly to their customer profile as I was initially trying to do.

Unfortunately there isn’t any work around with the Square software that’s native to the device. We’re constantly working to improve our features based on feedback like this, so I’ll be sure to share your request to the API product team. :slightly_smiling_face:
