Catalog items in a new Application Sandbox

I created a new application but when I query for catalog items in the new sandbox I get a list which is apparently from my previous application. Why is thie happening?

When you create a new application in the Square Developer Dashboard, a new Sandbox environment is not automatically created for it. The Sandbox environment is shared across all your applications within the same Square account. Therefore, the catalog items you’re seeing are from the same Sandbox environment used by your previous application.
