Hello. I am in the process of implementing payment links using the Checkout API. I am not using quick checkout and I am specifying order information, including the customer ID, when creating a payment link. Can Square automatically send the link to the customer after the link is created using the customer’s email? I am currently emailing the link manually, but I am wondering if there is a way for the link to be sent automatically. Thank you.
At this time the ability to automatically send the payment link to the configured customer isn’t currently available. We’re constantly working to improve our features based on feedback like this, so I’ll be sure to share your request to the API product team.
At this time the only payment request that Square sends to configured customers today is invoices from the Invoices API.
