We submitted an App Partner / App Marketplace application through the partnerships page ( App Partners: Publish your app in the Square App Marketplace ) on August 20, 2026. It’s now been about 19 days with no confirmation or status update of any kind.
I saw in another thread that submitted requests are still logged and retained even while new listings aren’t currently being accepted — just wanted to confirm ours was received, and ask if there’s any way to check status beyond waiting on email.
Happy to share any identifying details (App ID, account email, etc.) via DM if that would help locate it.
Hi @Gobeeshan - Square is not accepting new formal App Partner partnerships at this time. Applications submitted through the partnerships page are retained, but there is no guaranteed review timeline, and approvals are evaluated selectively based on seller demand and strategic fit. Long waits (30+ days with no response) are common and expected right now.
Just so I understand, Square is both “not accepting” App Partnership applications and at the same time “evaluating them selectively”?
And when Square does review applications, it is based on “Seller demand and strategic fit”, although applicants don’t even get a response, or an ability to demonstrate their app?
