ACH Fees - Only charged 0.5%?

Hello,

We recently had an ACH transaction go through successfully, but it only charged us 0.5% instead of the expected 1%.

Is there a maximum? Was this an error? Or am I missing something in the documentation.

It was a $1010 ACH transfer and payed $5 in fees.

The fees were charged correctly, there is a maximum cap on ACH fees, see https://developer.squareup.com/docs/payments-pricing#pricing-for-handling-online-and-in-app-payments for full ACH pricing details.
