so if I types 500 then it works $5.00, but when I try to assign “amount” to a value according to the service’s price then it shows $0 on Square app since the value is going to change according to the selected services.

So what type of variable are you setting? Note the amount must be a string; earlier I see you were using .val(), which can return a string, number, or array. Can you confirm that the value is actually a string?

At this time the only way to connect a web application with Square hardware is with Terminal API. Connecting to a reader isn’t currently possible.
