Square OAuth Integration from an Unsupported Country – Who Can I Contact?

Hello everyone,

I am an independent software developer based in Aruba, Dutch Caribbean.

I would like to know whether a developer registered in Aruba can create and operate a Square OAuth application that allows existing Square merchants in supported countries, such as the United States, to connect their accounts.

The application would not receive or hold any payments. All transactions would be processed through the merchants’ own Square accounts.

Does this require the developer to have a Square merchant account or a business registered in a Square-supported country?

Has anyone had experience with this situation, or does anyone know who I can contact directly at Square to get official confirmation?

I would prefer to discuss the details privately with the appropriate developer support team rather than share business information publicly.

Thank you for your help!

You can use the Square developer signup flow to make an account with your actual country Aruba.

Square does not support card/payment processing for sellers in Aruba meaning your app shouldn’t take any payments or collect any app fee, but you can still build applications for US Square sellers to connect through OAuth.

Hi Jaeha, Thank you for your help. I tried signing up through the Square Developer signup link you provided, but Aruba is not listed as an available country, so I cannot complete the registration.

Could you please advise me on how to create a Square Developer account from Aruba? Is there an alternative registration process for developers based in countries that are not listed?
