Hi all,
We run a loyalty program for cafés and restaurants that use Square POS. Members earn vouchers with us, and the vouchers are redeemed at the till as coupons linked to the member’s Square customer profile.
Redemption itself works well: when the cashier opens the customer’s profile, the coupon is listed under Coupons and can be applied in one tap.
The problem is visibility. When a customer is added to the sale, nothing tells the cashier that a coupon is waiting. It only shows up if they open the customer profile or the Rewards screen. During a morning rush, baristas don’t do that for every customer, so vouchers get missed and customers leave disappointed.
I believe Square Loyalty already solves this with a “Reward Available” prompt on the current sale. We’d love the same for coupons:
- A “Coupon available” prompt (like “Reward Available”) when the customer added to the sale has a valid, unredeemed coupon, or
- At minimum, a badge or counter on the customer in the cart showing there’s something to redeem.
This would help any seller using coupons linked to a customer, whether they come from Square Marketing or from partner apps.
Thanks!
Alex, Yollty
