Sandbox Appointments provisioning request — Default Test Account not onboarded

Hello Square Developer Support,

We are preparing a custom booking-site launch and need to complete seller-level
Bookings API acceptance tests in Sandbox: booking creation, time changes,
cancellation, and creating a replacement after a studio/weather cancellation.

Our US Default Test Account’s Sandbox token successfully creates Orders, test
Payments and Refunds. We have completed synthetic-card refund tests. However,
GET /v2/bookings/business-booking-profile returns HTTP 401 with:
{“category”:“AUTHENTICATION_ERROR”,“code”:“UNAUTHORIZED”,“detail”:“Merchant not onboarded to Appointments”}

We opened the Default Test Account’s Sandbox Dashboard through the Developer
Console and followed the documented onboarding instructions. The authenticated
Sandbox Dashboard has no Appointments onboarding entry. We have not opened a new
paid production subscription, charged a real card, or changed public services.

Could Square provision Appointments, including seller-level booking testing, for
this Sandbox account or provide a supported pre-onboarded Sandbox seller? We need
to finish verification without moving this test to our active production catalog
or charging a real card. We can provide our Sandbox application and location IDs
through a private support channel if needed.

We saw the related report and understand the general recommendation to use a
separate production account. Before taking that route, please confirm whether
Square can provision a usable Sandbox seller for this specific acceptance test:

Thank you.

Does your production account have Square Appointments Plus or Appointments Premium? I’m not sure if having that enables seller-level calls in the sandbox, but otherwise you are correct in assuming you must use a production account to test your final end to end. The production account would need to have either plan outlined above to access seller-level APIs.

I have no way of enabling anything for you in the sandbox.
