Hello Square Developer Team,

The Low Down Dirty Soda Co. would like to request special access to the Square Discount Codes API for our existing production Square application.

We are developing a merchant-operated loyalty integration for our Dirty Drop rewards program. Customers earn one credit for each qualifying drink. After five credits, the customer unlocks a single-use free-drink coupon.

Our intended workflow is:

  • Generate a unique coupon code for each customer reward.
  • Create a fixed-amount discount based on the highest-priced qualifying drink among the customer’s five purchases.
  • Restrict the coupon to the Dirty Soda category and the highest-value eligible item in the cart.
  • Limit the coupon to one use per customer and one total redemption.
  • Allow the coupon to remain active without an expiration date.
  • Redeem the coupon through our existing Square POS workflow.
  • Retrieve the redemption status and associate it with the completed Square order.
  • Automatically close the reward in our loyalty dashboard after confirmed redemption.

We currently create and activate these Square Marketing coupons manually. API access would remove repetitive entry, prevent coupon-code errors, and allow reliable redemption reconciliation.

We are requesting access to:

  • DISCOUNT_CODES_READ
  • DISCOUNT_CODES_WRITE
