Our production Checkout API integration successfully creates a payment link. The saved Square order matches the reviewed USD $13.19 total and SHIPMENT details. On October 1, 2026 around 12:08 p.m. Eastern / 16:08 UTC, the buyer opened that checkout but could not submit a manually entered card payment.
The buyer reports entering the contact fields, card number, expiration, CVV, and billing ZIP. A redacted screenshot shows all contact fields populated, Visa detected, and a populated billing ZIP. Pay remains disabled, with no visible inline error or CAPTCHA. The buyer reports the same result on the same checkout in Chrome Incognito after manual entry and with a different card. A subsequent read-only check still shows the Square order in DRAFT and the order details matching the reviewed checkout. No payment completion has been verified for this attempt.
The request includes one SHIPMENT fulfillment with recipient name/email/address, and checkout_options.ask_for_shipping_address is false because the shipping destination was already collected and quoted. The request has no separate buyer-email prefill parameter. We have not established whether the fulfillment configuration is related.
Could Square identify the exact form-validation condition preventing Pay from enabling? We can provide the production order, merchant, and application identifiers privately, along with a fully redacted screenshot and relevant request fields. No card details or credentials will be included.
