How many times can evidence be submitted for a given dispute? If a merchant receives a dispute and wishes to provide evidence contesting the dispute. After the purchasers card issuer looks over the evidence, is there potentially a chance to provide more evidence or a clarification on evidence? Or is it a one time send off of evidence and then card issuer makes a decision?
Say in an example where a customer purchased multiple items and then disputes claiming goods and services not as described.. we would first want to clarify which items were not as described and how they differed.

Challenging a dispute using the Disputes API is a two-step process: first, the seller uploads evidence, and then they submit the evidence to the bank. After the evidence for a dispute has been submitted, it can no longer be removed or changed. Therefore, it’s important to ensure that all relevant evidence is uploaded before submitting it to the bank. If the bank asks for more information while deliberating, the seller can upload more evidence or accept the cardholder’s dispute. However, once the evidence has been submitted and the dispute is in processing, no further evidence can be added or removed.

So it would be solely at the banks discretion that a merchant would be able to submit additional evidence after submitting ANY initial evidence?
Yes, if they require any additional information.
