Connect to Square from Live Woo site and Staging simultaneously?

I just inherited a Woo site that is using the WC Square plugin. The site is live and currently working. Client wants to add some features. I duplicated the site as Staging but the WC Square plugin is complaining about the connection to Square. Is it possible to connect from two sites as I am attempting to do?

Also, in the Woo Square plugin settings, there’s an option to enable a Sandbox. I thought I should do that so that my testing won’t affect the live stuff, but I’m not sure that’s what it’s for. I couldn’t find any clarification of that in Square Dev. Suggestions?
