Our ecommerce site checkout allows customers to put CC card, expiration, CVV And zip code.
We’re not using shopify and built site our selves and using square api to charge.
Can ANYONE in the world use their cards and purchase?
What about the zip code?
Square can process internationally issued cards bearing a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Union Pay, or Discover logo.
When adding the ZIP or postal code, your customer can enter the postal code associated to the card even if it’s an alpha numeric postal code.
So for sure anywhere in the world visa will work?
I heard something about some countries need to put 0 in the zip code.
Is that true?
Yes, a Visa issued anywhere in the world will work. If the input method is asking for a postal code and the card was issued in a region that doesn’t have postal codes you can enter 00000 as the zip code.
