Has a BillPay API made it to the roadmap yet? I haven’t seen an update on it in the last couple of years. Alternatively, and selfishly for my use case, a way to reimburse employees who accept gift cards for their services would be a start, even if it was limited to a Square account to Square account transaction.

When you say BillPay API what exactly are you wanting? Is it like a Vendor API for making payments to vendors? 
A Vendor API would work for this use case. We have essentially a booth rent style day spa with service providers that accept gift cards sold under the overall brand of the spa, but the providers generally take payment from their clients in their own Square accounts, not related to the overall spa. When they accept gift card payments, they send an invoice to the spa owner for payment. I was trying to create a way to match the gift cards they accepted over the month to the amount they submitted in the invoice and provide a report to the owner who could then approve the payment if the details look correct. The providers could be entered in as vendors for reimbursement.
