Basic query about API and Square reader

Hi

When we integrate square reader, it’s making us download the square app. Is there a way in API so the user doesn’t need this app in addition to ours to send the payment amount to the square terminal so a customer can tap/pay?

We are in UK.

With tap to pay and Square you have to use the Point of Sale API which requires you to download the Square app. We don’t yet have an SDK that you can integrate directly in your app and supports tap to pay. :slightly_smiling_face:

At this time we don’t have a public roadmap for upcoming features like this. We’re constantly working to improve our features based on feedback like this, so I’ll be sure to share your request to the API product team. :slightly_smiling_face:

Looks like now it is seamlessly supported through the MobilePayments SDK: Mobile Payments SDK
