WooCommerce OAuth authorization fails only for one specific Square account

Hi Square Developer Support,

I’m having an account-specific OAuth authorization issue with the official WooCommerce Square integration.

WooCommerce Support has already tested the exact same website and official WooCommerce Square plugin using another Square account, and the connection completed successfully. This confirms that the website, plugin, callback URL, redirect flow, and WooCommerce configuration are working correctly.

The issue only occurs with this specific Square account. When we start the connection from WooCommerce, Square’s OAuth login page opens correctly and the account owner can sign in successfully. However, the WooCommerce authorization/“Allow” consent screen never appears. Instead, the user is redirected to the Square Dashboard, and WooCommerce never appears under Square Dashboard > Settings > App Integrations.

We have already confirmed:

  • The login is the Square account owner.
  • The Square business location is active.
  • The official WooCommerce Square plugin is current.
  • Production mode is enabled.
  • HTTPS/SSL is active.
  • Browser cache/cookies and Incognito mode were tested.
  • Potential WordPress plugin conflicts were tested.
  • WooCommerce successfully connected a different Square account to the same website.

WooCommerce Support concluded that the failure is occurring at Square’s account-specific OAuth consent/authorization step.

Could a Square API/OAuth engineer please check whether there is an account-level OAuth restriction, incomplete onboarding status, eligibility issue, or another condition preventing this merchant account from authorizing the WooCommerce application?

This is urgent because the store cannot process payments through Square until the connection is completed.
