Because I can’t find it being explicitly stated anywhere, I was curious if Google Pay and Apple Pay digital wallets are supported sources to create a reusable card object from. I have been unable to use google pay to create a card directly, however if I use google pay to create a payment, and then use that payment ID to create a card it is successful. This has only been tested in sandbox mode so I’m not even sure if it would transfer to prod.
In the Requirements and Limitations section of our documentation we document that The Cards API cannot create a card on file using Apple Pay or Google Pay payment tokens. That’s interesting that it worked in sandbox. I’ll share this with the team. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
