Hello Square team,
Square Customer Success directed us here regarding the built-in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) integration on our Square-hosted ordering site, www.captainkitchen.au.
We use Square Online’s Google Analytics setting and the included Cookiebot banner, not a custom API-based storefront.
In our 28 October 2026 test, the native GA4 loader remained blocked when Statistics consent was accepted and Marketing consent was declined. This is a dated test observation, not a confirmed platform-wide defect.
On 30 October, we rechecked Website > Site Preferences > Change cookie consent. The panel offered Included, Premium, Custom banner code and No cookie consent banner, with no visible per-tag category control.
Could a Square staff member confirm:
- Is the native GA4 integration intended to load with Statistics consent accepted and Marketing consent declined?
- If so, what supported configuration or diagnostic steps are available with the included banner? Please identify the exact control if merchant configuration is required.
- If the classification is platform-managed, which team can investigate it, and how should this be routed from Customer Success?
We are not asking to bypass consent, add duplicate tracking or modify the menu or layout. If this forum is not the correct channel for native Square Online integrations, please identify the responsible support route.
Thank you,
Benyamin Gonbadi
