Our customers ordered through Square Online Store, but the pickup_details of certain orders do not include phone_number. Filling phone is a necessary step in online store ordering, isn’t it? And we found that customers’ receipts have the phone information, which means they did input phone number. We also checked the order on square dashboard, those orders don’t even have customer name! I think it is a serious bug. This happened two times yesterday.
We’ve been discussing this on Slack. I am following up with our Square Online Store team for more information on this. Phone numbers can be missing in some instances like when using digital wallets, but I believe names should always appear. However, I’m waiting on the confirmation from the team for this.
