In the Square dashboard Sales Summary Report there are line items for Returns and Refunds by Amount. From reading through docs and forums it seems that returns are specific items in Square that have been returned, whereas refunds by amount is a dollar amount selected to return. How are these differentiated in the Refunds API when listing payment refunds?
The two types of refunds aren’t differentiated in the Refunds API. They’re differentiated in the order of each refund where it’ll have the items that were refunded or the amount that was refunded.
