Hi Square team,

We run a Shopify integration app that connects merchants’ online stores with Square POS. We saw in this thread that the Discount Codes API is available by special request, and we’d like to ask for access.

Why we need it
Our merchants run promotions both online and in-store. We want the same discount codes to work in both places, so merchants don’t have to set up and manage each code twice.

Applications
We have three Square applications, one for each of our environments. All three use the Production API. We don’t need Sandbox access.

Scopes: DISCOUNT_CODES_READ, DISCOUNT_CODES_WRITE

Great use case! Syncing discount codes between Shopify and Square POS will save merchants tons of time. Hoping the Square team grants your API access soon—good luck with the integration!

Syncing discount codes between Shopify and Square POS sounds like a very useful feature for merchants running promotions in both places. Having one code setup instead of maintaining separate versions should save a lot of manual work.
