Is it possible to sign into a physical Square Terminal with a device code generated in the sandbox environment? I’m generating codes but they’re not being accepted by my physical terminal.

Unfortunately, no, you cannot sign into an actual terminal device to test sandbox. The sandbox test values are solely for seeing the results (see here for more info: https://developer.squareup.com/docs/testing/test-values#terminal-api-endpoint-testing).
