Can I use the Square Reader for Windows?

Hello,

We are a software company that currently uses the Square Reader for payments together with an Android App of ours, the Square Terminal together with another hardware device, and the Web API to integrate Square in several of our websites. This all works fine so far!

We have a use case coming up where we have a Windows application that runs on Tablets and we would like to use credit card payments with said application. Ideally, we would like to use the Square Reader with your Bosstab Dock. However, there is no official SDK or API to use the Square Reader with Windows as far as I know.

Can you tell us, if there is a way to use Square Reader under Windows? Because it runs on a tablet, we would have a Bluetooth connection.

Unfortunately, at this time the ability to use Reader SDK with a Windows device isn’t currently possible. We’re constantly working to improve our features based on feedback like this, so I’ll be sure to share your request to the API product team. :slightly_smiling_face:
