Version 1.1 of the Register API is now available on iOS as of Square Register version 4.50.

Version 1.1 includes:

• Support for split tender transactions.
• A new CASH tender type to support cash transactions.
• A new OTHER tender type to support other tender transactions.
• A new SQUARE_GIFT_CARD tender type to support Square Prepaid Gift Card transactions.
