Square Unboxed Hackathon 2022
A chance to win up to $20,000!
Our latest hackathon – Square Unboxed Hackathon 2022 — is now live! To continue the excitement of everything that we've announced at Unboxed 2022, we want to reward developers for building with what we announced as part of the Unboxed this year. That means if you build using Bookings API, Cash App Pay, Checkout API, or Terminal API you have a chance to claim your part of $85k in prizes–including a $20k grand prize.
You can build for the web, mobile, or other platform, using your preferred programming language and at least one (which) API. A pre-existing application may be submitted to the hackathon if it has been significantly updated within the contest timeframe.
Getting started
Participants have several opportunities to win: from a $20,000 grand prize and honorable mentions, to bonus categories for unique use cases and even additional prizes for providing valuable feedback to our teams. You can check out the prize categories here, and get started:
- Create a free Square Developer account (skip this step if you have an existing account)
- Register for the Square Unboxed Hackathon 2022
- Familiarize yourself with the contest rules and submission requirements
- Build or extend an app with new features using Square’s new Bookings API, Cash App Pay, Checkout API, or Terminal API.
- Submit before the deadline!
