Having browsed the loyalty API I did not see mention of the new VIP tiers support in the API. Is it just undocumented or has this functionality not made it’s way to the API’s yet?
Thanks for the question! You’re correct that the Loyalty Tiers (VIP tiers) feature is not currently available through the Loyalty API. Tiers are managed exclusively through the Square Dashboard and POS at this time.
The Loyalty API supports reading program configuration (including reward tiers and accrual rules) and managing loyalty accounts, points, and rewards. However, creating, updating, or reading VIP tier assignments is not supported via the API.
If this is something your integration would benefit from, we encourage you to submit a feature request (a new post on here as “feature request” rather than “question”) so our product team can track demand.
I don’t think VIP tiers are available in the Loyalty API yet. If they were supported, they’d likely be documented. I’d keep an eye on future API updates or ask support for a timeline.
