Is it possible to receive the merchant category code on behalf of a customer? As of now, it seems that the only way to access the MCC from a merchant is to either a) make a purchase at that merchant or b) have the merchant gives you direct access to this information. Unfortunately, neither of these options seems viable on a large scale.
