We are using a custom Magestore POS through Magento 2 with Square integrated as the credit card processor. The processing has worked for the past month, but now we are getting a not valid JSON error when attempting to use a credit card. When attempting to diagnose the issue, we are seeing that the network response appears to be a 403 error. This error is now rendering our POS invalid as we cannot accept credit cards, unfortunately a day before our largest sales event of the year. Any help would be welcome.
Is it possible to share a full error message and response here? Please redact any sensitive information.
Do you know which SDK or API you are using? If so which calls are returning the 403? You can include that if you are able to share the error messages as well.
I just received a note from our developers that the issue may be tied to the IP request is being blocked at our server firewall. Are there any particular IP addresses that I should put on our whitelist to ensure that this is not being blocked?
Thanks for sharing the pictures! Ya it does look like the issue is in some middle-man server between us and you. I definitely recommend working with your developers on this because I won’t be able to be much help unfortunately.
We do not recommend setting up firewalls at the IP level because square’s IPs change very often. This document outlines some more specific network requirements Set up network requirements for Square hardware | Square Support Center - United States
Very good and thank you. I will share this link so we can start resolving the issue.
This forum won’t let me post or reply to anything. I’m writing in a vain attempt to get something through
