Link Vendor to Item through API

I can’t seem to find any way to link a vendor to a catalog item when creating it via the API.

Any help would be appreciated.

At this time the ability to link a vendor to an item with the Vendors API isn’t currently available. :slightly_smiling_face:

We are trying to sync our catalog with a 3rd party solution and we need the same product available from multiple Vendors with a different SKU and Unit price per Vendor. We are creating products with the API, how can we assign the Vendor to each product?

Unfortunately, programmatically linking a vendor to a product isn’t currently possible. We’re constantly working to improve our features based on feedback like this, so I’ll be sure to share your request to the API product team. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m going to revive this dead post… When importing new catalog items, I want to attach them to a vendor, just like you can do with a spreadsheet. Is this still not possible with the API? Can I not add a new item to the catalog and provide the vendor ID?

Please have an update for us :slight_smile: . My use case relies on being able to associate items with vendors. We currently use the bulk CSV import but this missing from the API might block us from migrating away from the manual process or completely change how we represent data
