How can I enable Invoices Plus installments in Sandbox?

I’m testing the Create Invoice endpoint in Square Sandbox. The invoice contains a deposit followed by six INSTALLMENT payment requests.

Square returns:

Payment request type INSTALLMENT requires a paid subscription.

My production Square seller currently has an Invoices Plus free trial, but the Sandbox seller does not show an option to upgrade or activate a trial.

Is there a way to enable Invoices Plus for a Sandbox test account? If not, what is Square’s recommended way to test an API-created invoice containing a deposit and multiple installments before using production?

The order is created successfully; only POST /v2/invoices is rejected.

Yes, we have Invoices Plus for Sandbox to open it:

  1. Ensure that you are on your Square Sandbox Dashboard
  2. While signed in, go to https://squareupsandbox.com/dashboard/invoices/learn-more and choose Try free for 30 days.
  3. To not have your trial expire you can use a test card in sandbox (4111 1111 1111 1111, CVV 111, exp 12/40, postal 22222). Go to Account & Settings > Business information > Pricing & Subscriptions (https://squareupsandbox.com/dashboard/account/pricing), choose Subscribe for Invoices Plus.
