I understand that Square’s network automatically updates cards on file with the new information such as expiration and last 3 digits. We are finding quite often we are actually having to contact the customer because of the expiration being out of date and the charge not going through for saved cards. We have some customers getting annoyed that we have to contact them for this. Can you explain why this would be the case? The card number has not changed, just the expiration and 3 digits.
