For example: Jane is a customer of Bob’s Pizza and Mike’s Taqueria. I can search for Jane using either Bob or Mike’s credentials. My question is: If I use POST/v2/customers/search to find Jane by her phone number, will her customer id be the same for both restaurants?

Are customer ID's unique across accounts?

Each customer_id is unique to the Square account that its associated to. They will not be the same for both accounts.
