Over the last quarter there has been a 6x increase in the number of sellers on Square Online, and 25% of Square’s GPV is now from online sales. There is now a bigger need to help sellers as they continue to transition to an omnichannel sales strategy. We are announcing a new program for developers, designers, and consultants to help sellers implement Square Online.

Partner Certifications and Badges

As the Square ecosystem has grown, there has been continued need to help our partners show their expertise and differentiate themselves. With the launch of the Square Online Agency Program, we are now providing certifications and badges for partners who complete all our training requirements. In addition to certifications for Square Online, there are also certifications for Square Payments and Square Hardware—which includes the new Terminal API. Partners who complete their certification are eligible to be listed on the Find an Agency page.

Sales Incentives

We are building on the success of helping sellers leverage the Square Development Credit program for larger projects by adding new incentives specific to Square Online implementations. Most Square Online implementations tend to have a shorter implementation time, requiring far less development than complex integrations. Sellers need help with design, migrating catalogs, setting up fulfillment methods, integrating existing systems, and defining new operational workflows. Therefore, the Square Online Agency Program has focused on providing incentives and support for partners to be successful.

These incentives will evolve as we get more feedback from partners.

New Seller SaaS Revenue Share
After a minimum threshold of sellers are referred to Square Online, partners are eligible to receive a 25% share of the SaaS revenue.

Square Online On-Demand Delivery Bounty
Partners are eligible for a one-time implementation bounty for helping sellers adopt On-Demand Delivery. On-Demand Delivery makes delivering orders for food and beverage sellers simple and easy. With On-Demand Delivery, a courier from a reliable delivery service provider is dispatched automatically to fulfill the delivery on behalf of a seller.

Top partners will have dedicated sales support, access to lead generation, and engineering support through our Developer forums, dedicated Slack channels, and email.
