# Square Catalog only allows 250 variants per Item

Hi,

We are using Square Catalog in our application. When we try to add more than 250 variants for an item then square catalog not allows us to do that.

Is there any limitation in square catalog?

Yes, there is a limitation in the Square Catalog. Individual catalog items can have up to 250 item variations. This is a requirement and limitation set by Square’s Catalog API.
