Requesting access to the Discount Codes API (/v2/discount-codes)

Hi! We’d like to request access to the Discount Codes API (/v2/discount-codes) for our restaurant.

Use case: our backend sends birthday and win-back email campaigns, and each customer should get their own single-use, expiring coupon code. The codes must be redeemable at our Square POS and Square Kiosk, and also on our own online ordering site, which creates orders through the Orders API.

Right now POST /v2/discount-codes/search returns 404 NOT_FOUND for our account, so I understand it has to be enabled on request. Environment: production (and sandbox for testing, if possible). I’m happy to send our Application ID and Merchant ID by DM.

This makes sense for birthday and win-back campaigns. Unique, expiring codes would make it easier to manage redemptions across Square POS, Kiosk, and your online store. Hopefully the team can enable access for both sandbox testing and production.
