RECURRING_CHARGE returns HTTP 500 at /debit-auth/create (Sandbox) while CHARGE works: request enablement

Hello, we are seeing the same behavior described in topics 27996 and 28000.

  • Sandbox application ID: sandbox-sq0idb-rBhmVX72I5vzN_G7zSbkfQ
  • Web Payments SDK 1.85.0, API version 2026-09-16
  • Plaid STORE and CreateBankAccount work (VERIFIED, debitable). Intent CHARGE with the same bank account works and payments complete.
  • Intent RECURRING_CHARGE fails at POST /debit-auth/create with HTTP 500 before the consent screen, both with the documented daily example and with a monthly schedule, always with future start dates.

Could you please enable RECURRING_CHARGE for this Sandbox application, and let us know the steps for the separate Production enablement? We can share the production application ID, use case, cadence and volume by private message.
