# How is the review and approval process and average processing time for a custom API to publish it?

Hi, I have submitted the review request webform almost a month ago, and have not recieved any update from Square Partnership team in terms of ETA or next steps and additional requirements. how is this process and any contact info to query for specific app id?

Hello Helner

The App Partner Application was submitted on Sept 15th, and I received confirmation of receipt from Square Partnership team immediately. Do you need app id?

Square is **not accepting new formal App Partner partnerships** at this time. Although applications submitted through the partnerships page are retained, but there is no guaranteed review timeline. The approvals are evaluated selectively based on seller demand and strategic fit. Long waits (30+ days with no response) are common and expected for right now.
