# How can I delete subscriptions canceled\_date or set it to any date? python api

How can I delete subscriptions canceled\_date or set it to any date?  
python api

You can make an `UpdateSubscription` request and just pass an empty value for `canceled_date` ie:

```auto
{
    "subscription": {
      "canceled_date": "",
      ...
    }
}

```

You’ll want to set set the field value to `null` to clear the `canceled_date` like our example in our [documentation](https://developer.squareup.com/docs/subscriptions-api/manage-subscriptions#update-subscriptions). 🙂
