We’re a production Square merchant — a single-location restaurant in Scottsdale, AZ —
running our own website ordering directly on the Orders API. We’re live on production
with real catalog, payments and orders through `/v2/orders` and `/v2/payments`.

I’m trying to get `DELIVERY` fulfillments working end to end, and I believe the blocker
is that our account isn’t enrolled in First-Party Delivery.

**What happens**

- `POST /v2/orders` with a `DELIVERY` fulfillment returns 200. The order exists and can
be retrieved through the Orders API, with recipient and address populated.
- Payment attaches successfully through the Payments API.
- But the order never appears in Order Manager, never reaches KDS, and doesn’t auto-fire
to the kitchen printer.
- `PICKUP` fulfillments on the same account, same application and same location behave
perfectly — Order Manager, KDS and automatic kitchen printing all work. So the pipeline
itself is sound; this is specific to `DELIVERY`.

This matches the documented gated behaviour:

> Requests to create a DELIVERY fulfillment order succeed with a 200 response even if you
> don’t have a partnership agreement and are enrolled in the delivery beta program.
> However, the delivery order you create cannot be accessed by a seller and does not
> appear in the Square Order Manager.

**Our use case**

We are a single-location restaurant taking delivery orders on our own website, for our
own restaurant. We are not a delivery platform, a courier marketplace, or a multi-merchant
ordering aggregator.

We dispatch the courier ourselves. I understand from “Delivery Integration” (topic 25251)
that Orders API orders don’t push to Square’s built-in DoorDash/Uber integrations, and
we’re not asking for that. We only need paid DELIVERY orders to be visible to the seller
so the kitchen can see and print them.

**What I’m asking**

Could a Square staff member either (a) enroll/flag our account for First-Party Delivery,
or (b) point me to the exact process for a merchant of this profile? I’ve seen the same
request resolved this way in topics 26868 and 26705 — both single-restaurant, own-driver
use cases — so I want to make sure I’m in the right queue rather than the partnership
application one.

Happy to share Merchant ID, Location ID and Application ID by DM.

Thanks!

Hi @ameliasaz - Unfortunately, access to first-party delivery fulfillment types are available to certified Square partners only. If the issue only involves ensuring the ticket prints properly in the kitchen, the recommendation would be to use a different fulfillment (like `SHIPMENT`) for tickets denoting a delivery.
